Welcome to E L Woodgate Photography!

My name is Emma and I love photographing babies! I specialise in newborn and baby portraits and I serve Hertfordshire, London and the surrounding areas from my dedicated studio in Watford. I fell in love with photography when my son was born and have been on an amazing journey ever since. I have trained with an established newborn photographer as well as with Newborn Baby Posing and I am proud to be a member of The Guild of Photographers and the Baby and Newborn Photography Association. I have also been awarded 16 bronze awards from The Guild of Photographers in their highly competitive national competition and a silver award in the London Portrait Group's print critique.

My second passion is for newborn safety. In an unregulated business I feel it is important to educate potential clients on ensuring whichever newborn photographer they choose adheres to safe practices when handling and posing their new baby. My clients can rest assured I am fully insured, DBS (formally CRB) checked and trained in paediatric first aid and therefore your little one is in safe hands (and did I mention I LOVE babies?).

When I'm not creating beautiful portraits  for my clients to cherish I'm making memories with my own two babies (three if you count the husband!). I'm a mum to a very sassy 7 year old boy and a cheeky 2 year old daughter who both keep me very busy! Our family also consists of one elderly dog, a host of tropical fish and 5 guinea pigs all named after paw patrol pups!

I'm at my happiest when out and about with nature; enjoying walks with our dog or exploring on horseback. As you can tell I love animals and have a keen interest in conservation of both animals  and the environment.

Getting lost in a good book can't be beaten....a real book....one you can smell and feel. Bonus points if it's an aged leather bound book, with a slight musty smell, gold gilded pages, thumbed paper and a classic story. The story of Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet is undoubtedly the greatest love story in classic literature and my personal favourite (7 reads and counting!).

I'd really love to tell the story of your unique family and to preserve that in print for future generations. If that's your goal too please get in touch today.

I look forward to hearing from you.
