The Experience
From start to finish I provide a bespoke service to ensure you get the most stunning art to display in your home. When you commission me for your portrait session I follow a number of steps to guide you through this process.
The consultation (also known as tea and cake!):
This is your opportunity to meet with me, discuss your needs and to see and feel some of the beautiful products I design in person. It's important that you feel comfortable with the person you are going to be entrusting to pose and photograph your precious newborn and older baby and this is your opportunity to ask any questions. This is completely complimentary and there is no obligation to book a session following this meeting. I love this informal meeting as I really get to know my families and their stories, plus who doesn't like cake? If at the time you do decide to book your portrait session we can then begin planning and styling your session to ensure I shoot for the products you are considering to purchase, your decor and aims for the session as well as ways we may be able to incorporate some personal touches to tell your family's unique story.
The portrait session:
Portrait sessions take place in my well-equipped dedicated home studio in Watford, Hertfordshire. Newborn sessions take place on weekdays at 10am. Milestone sessions also take place on weekdays but are more flexible. I take on very few sessions so I can dedicate a lot of time to each of my clients and I never arrange more than one portrait session in one day so you are never rushed. Depending on how you wish to display your images I will photograph your baby and yourselves in a way that tells the story of your family; if you would like to purchase one of our stunning albums. Alternatively if you desire a breathtaking wall portrait or collection we can concentrate on a few unique images that capture the essence of your beautiful family and how you came to be.
The viewing and ordering appointment:
When your images have been prepared for you (usually in 2-3 weeks) I invite you back to the studio for a relaxed viewing session. I serve a few (naughty) snacks and provide drinks so you can sit back and get lost in your images. Once you have viewed your slideshow I will provide you with my expertise to guide you through choosing images for purchase and help you design the art pieces for your home because I want you to order something that you love. The order is placed and paid for at the end of the appointment and all sales are final. All that's left for you to do is wait in anticipation for your order, everything else is taken care of.
Product delivery:
After approximately 4-6 weeks, depending on the products ordered, I will contact you to inform you that your artwork has arrived and been checked for faults. When I am satisfied with the quality of the products we can arrange collection/delivery of your items.
